The cafe-pizzeria-restaurant CEDNA was formed in 2007 and is located in the heart of the city of Cusco. It is a social management, non-profit organization and it is oriented to work within the other projects of CEDNA. This is not only an economic project but also an occupation for students. In the restaurant they could perform their professional practices and can become more competitive in the workplace. In some cases the most outstanding are left with a permanent job within the company.
The proposal from the company basis that draft CEDNA social development raised and enforced only from a social perspective may lack sustainability over time. Therefore proposals for social development should strongly consider a component of economic development so that
People can achieve balance in the effect and impact that the projects offered to people.
The strategies proposed by the company, to meet various purposes, were:
* to be centers of employment generation and improvement of the family income.
* to be a centre to strengthen and to enhance the local workforce (target population).
* to be business incubators, which are intended to encourage the creation of micro-managed businesses by the beneficiary population.
Cafe-Pizzeria-Restaurant CEDNA is located in the tourist centre of Cusco (San Blas). The meals consist out of excellent pizza’s, pasta’s, national and international, which are ideal for local tourists, national and international.
Our staff is working with graduates of the project Yachay (training) courses waiters and waitresses and kitchen helpers.
These training programs are for young people and mothers of scarce economic resources so that they can be integrated into the workplace and help improve their quality of life.
